Artist's Statement

Art is the one thing that fulfills me like nothing else. Expressing myself creatively is as essential as the air I breathe. Painting and drawing have always been a constant in my life. I graduated high school in 1992. In pursuit of attaining a creative career, I made the abrupt decision to attend cosmetology school. After 15 years of being a hairstylist, I have now decided to pursuit a career as an art teacher. It took me over a year to find the courage to actually fill out my application to attend Moore College of Art and Design and send it in. I finally did it. This is the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. I'm on my way and I could not be happier to be here.
